This season creative director Louise Trotter explores the potency of these gender roles. How a nostalgic pattern or retro detail can twist the reading of a wardrobe. “[I found] lots of pictures of my parents—it was from around the late ’70s—and it was fascinating to look at the way men and women really dressed at that time,” Louise told Vogue’s Luke Leitch. “What fascinated me was how feminine the women look, and the men, too.”
How a powdery shade of blue has the power to reveal the womanliness of a manly overcoat in wool and cashmere, or instantly refresh the proposition of a two-piece suit cut for ease.
